7th Annual Backpack Friday 11-26-21
Thank you to all the donors and volunteers that made our 7th Annual Backpack Friday a huge success! We were able to deliver hundreds of hygiene filled backpacks to our unhoused neighbors living on the streets of downtown Los Angeles skid row area. We provided a hot Thanksgiving meal from Marie Callender’s and to go lunches donated by the Prayer Warriors. Individuals were able to receive prayer, bibles, and clothing if requested. Volunteers including nurses, pharmacists, students, and other professionals along with family and friends participated during our annual event. COVID-19 Vaccines also given to those who wanted. We provided informative resources cards with information to stop spread of Covid-19 and locate shelter, housing, and mental health providers. Thousands of masks and hand sanitizer distributed.
